Silvia Villa-Royval, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) at El Paso. Dr Villa-Royval provides full-time coverage at University Medical Center and is responsible for teaching medical students and residents within the department of Anesthesiology. Dr. Villa-Royval is a native of El Paso who obtained her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Dr. Villa-Royval went on to graduate from Boston University School of Medicine (BUMC) in 2009. Dr. Villa-Royval has a special interest in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain management. Dr. Villa-Royval trained at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital which is affiliated with Columbia University in New York City. Her residency training was focused in innovative regional anesthesia management under the leadership of the New York Society of Regional Anesthesia (NYSORA) professors. Dr. Villa-Royval is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and American Geriatrics Society (AGS). Dr. Villa-Royval enjoys cooking, reading Latin-American Literature, and recently road biking.
