Dr Didia was born and raised in Buenos Aires Argentina. She attended medical school at the University of Buenos Aires. She immigrated to the United States in 1992 and completed her Residency in Internal Medicine in Pinnacle Health Systems in Harrisburg ,PA in 1998. She was Chief Resident in 1999 and stayed as Faculty until 2005. She received the Golden Apple Award in 2000 for excellence in Teaching awarded by the Medical College of Pennsylvania-Hannnhemann Medical School . In 2003, and 2005 she received awards for excellence in teaching from the Internal Medicine Residents at Pinnacle Health as well as the Osteopathic Residents at Pinnacle Health as well. In 2006 she decided to move to El Paso , Texas as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the department of Internal Medicine at the Paul Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She received an award for Faculty of the year in 2009 and the “Manuel Rivera Excellence in Teaching” award in 2013. She now holds the position of General Internal Medicine Division Chief in that Institution. Dr Didia clinical interests and passion are inpatient care of the underserved population in El Paso Texas. She is an Academic Hospitalists and provides inpatient care 8 months out of the year at the University Medical Center in El Paso , Texas. She is actively involved in Lean Health Care and is part of the Ethics Committee. She volunteers at a clinic that provides care for the indigent on some weekends. She also recently became Board Certified in Holistic and Integrative Medicine Her interests outside of Medicine include physical fitness including boxing, Tai Chi and Bellydancing. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking . She is fluent in Spanish, English and French. Her reading interests are poetry and Eastern Philosophy.
